We wanted to begin creating something special and a bit different for the ships' crests we have on our licence with the MoD. Most of the t-shirts available out there are pretty basic in design - a crest on a t-shirt. Which is fine, of course; the crests themselves are the brand of the ship, each one recognisable and carrying with it the power and ethos of the ships.
So how can we go beyond a ship's brand? Well, what better way to display a ship's might that to show the ship herself?
The first sketch we have drawn is of the formidable HMS Queen Elizabeth Class carriers and has been made available on two products- a black t-shirt for HMS Queen Elizabeth, and a black hoodie for HMS Prince of Wales.
The image has been drawn with clean crisp white lines that stand boldly against a black background. A balance has been drawn between simplifying the details enough as to not overwhelm the eye, but detailed enough to capture the intricacies of these 65,000 tonne twin island super-carriers that make them unmistakable for any other carrier.
